Police are hoping for a fabulous find of their own.
They need the public's help locating the person who entered Fabulous Finds thrift store on Rutherford Road a couple of weeks ago and swiped a cashbox and an undisclosed amount of currency inside it.
Fabulous Finds is a charitable business. All its proceeds benefit Family Services of McDowell County, an agency that aids domestic violence victims.
Thrift store employee Jennifer Beaty reported on Thursday, Oct. 22 that she arrived at work shortly before 10 a.m. and discovered that someone had rummaged through a back room and took the cashbox, according to a report by Officer R.J. Hink of the Marion Police Department.
The crime occurred sometime between 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21 and 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22.
Anyone with information concerning the suspect or the crime is asked to call the Marion Police Department at 652-3231 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME. With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward.
