Finals set in youth grid league

Old Fort Vikings 16, Marion-Eastfield Bombers 0
(Hounds Division)
The Old Fort Vikings advanced to the Hounds Division championship as they blanked Marion-Eastfield 16-0 last Saturday at Titans Stadium.
Riley Harting put the Vikings in front 8-0 on a 14-yard touchdown and conversion score with 42 seconds left in the first quarter.
Chris Clayton added a touchdown during the second quarter on a 7-yard run.
Glenwood Dragons 14, P.G./North Cove Falcons 0
(Hounds Division)
The Glenwood Dragons also advanced to the Hounds championship with a 14-0 win against the P.G./North Cove Falcons.
Cannon Lamb put the Dragons ahead 8-0 early in the first quarter on a 15-yard touchdown run. Skylar Williams added a 42-yard touchdown play midway through the third quarter for good measure.
Old Fort Vikings 24, Glenwood Dragons 0
(Dogs Division)
The Old Fort Vikings advanced to Saturday's Dogs Division championship, pounding Glenwood 24-0 at a soggy Titans Stadium.
Gavin Malone led the Vikings with two rushing touchdowns in the first half. Jarrett Dula and Tanner Allen also scored a touchdown each on the ground.
Marion-Eastfield Bombers 12, P.G./North Cove Falcons 0
(Dogs Division)
The Marion-Eastfield Bombers advanced to Saturday's Dogs championship as they shut out P.G./North Cove 12-0 Tuesday night in a game postponed by rain last Saturday.
Fullback Michael Wall scored both Bombers touchdowns in the contest. Wall put Marion-Eastfield ahead 6-0 less than a minute into the second quarter on a 12-yard touchdown run that capped off a long scoring drive.
Then, with 42 seconds left in the half, Wall drove in from 3 yards away to increase the lead to 12-0.
P.G./North Cove had its best scoring opportunity at the start of the second half. The Falcons got as close as the Bombers 5-yard line before turning the ball over on downs.
NOTE: The MCYFL will hold its championship games Saturday at McDowell High. Glenwood will battle Old Fort in the Hounds championship (4 p.m. start). Old Fort will battle Marion-Eastfield in the Dogs championship (7 p.m. start). The Hot Dogs and Pups Divisions will also be in action throughout the day.
