Letter to the editor: Bush got us into this mess

Mr.Duncan, the main focus of your letter was not the state of the country. You only spoke of racism and prejudice of some group of people. Seems to me that you also fall into that category because of your statements.
Have you forgot about a year ago when gas was over $4 a gallon and oil companies had the highest profit in the history of this country? Yes, your right when you said this country is in bad shape when over 44,000 people die each year because they can't afford heath care, in case you don't understand numbers that's 122 per day.
If people like you would stop trying to prove that people made a mistake in the last election and start working together to do what's best for all Americans, we could get a lot of the problems corrected.
Have you also forgot that President Obama has only been in office a little over nine months? The last man was in office eight years. In that time, gas more than doubled, people were working when he took office, but as he left people were in the unemployment line.When Bush was in office, banks ran free with bonuses to CEOs. That is how we got here. I guess we had no problem until President Obama took office in January.
By the title of your letter, you feel everything was just fine when Mr.Bush was in office.
