Letter to the editor: Thanks for helping with Mercy event

On behalf of the Mercy Animal Rescue, I wish to extend our sincere thank you for the overwhelming support of our bake sale held on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Our four-legged friends who are currently in foster homes are also very appreciative of the donations and sale of baked goods, which will benefit their veterinary care and feeding 100 percent.
The compassion shown by the many that stopped by is indeed heart-warming, and to know people realize just how important our mission is.
Our precious cats and dogs (rabbits, too) are in caring foster homes until they are adopted into a loving family, and at times, this takes many months to find the best home.
All of our volunteers help in many different ways. We thank them for the devotion to the welfare of strays, many who are found in ditches, empty boxes and parking lots, or just abandoned by previous owners. They are God's creatures and need love just like we do!
Thank you to all of you who continue to support our group with your monetary donations of food, kennels, beds, blankets, etc. We are most grateful to each and everyone of you.
