Hildebran Elementary appreciative of veterans at event
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the students and staff of Hildebran Elementary School to thank all the veterans and currently serving soldiers, who made our second annual Community Veterans Day a huge success. We were pleased to welcome approximately 75 men and women to our school to be honored for their service. We wanted to honor them, but they in turn honored us by sharing of their service and memories. Our students gained more than will ever be expressed in mere words.

Letter to the editor: Bruce says try this approach
OK, let's try another idea for the hot dog cart issue. I originally believed that $100 per year was a form of "rent" application for a downtown property and that the payment was too low for the location. My mistake. I now know this fee is not considered "rent"! I was not behind the raised figure of $1,200 per year, but I admit that I did not fight against the proposal by the Planning Board.
