McDowell, Burke officers search for suspect

Authorities need the public's help locating a man wanted in McDowell and Burke counties.
McDowell County sheriff's deputies are searching for David Nathaniel Ross, 21. He is wanted locally on five warrants, including failing to appear in court on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, trespassing and communicating threats, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.
"Ross is also a person of interest in numerous residential day-time burglaries," the release stated.
The Burke County Sheriff's Office also holds outstanding warrants for Ross, including one for felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Anyone with information concerning the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call the McDowell County Sheriff's Office at 652-4000 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME. With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
