Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 1759 Tatertown Loop, recently called a new pastor.
Shawn Davis of Lenoir is a graduate of West Lenoir Bible Institute. He was music director and associate pastor at Ambassador Baptist Church for nine years. Davis also teaches Bible classes at Heritage Christian School in Hudson and coaches the varsity boys' basketball team.
His wife, Rebecca, have two daughters: Savanna Belle, 6, and Sophia Elizabeth, 2
