Authorities say photos sent to girl were obscene

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Nebo teen faces a felony charge after authorities say he was caught sending obscene pictures of himself to a younger girl.
Detective Jennifer Trantham of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office charged Robert Andrew Welch, 19, of Keller's Court with one count of disseminating obscenity. He was released from custody on a written promise to appear in court.
Trantham said Welch had been sending pictures of his genitalia via cell phone to a 13-year-old girl since the end of August. The two had known each other for a short time.
The girl's teacher caught her with her phone in class one day and saw the pictures, according to the detective. That's when investigators were notified.
