Letter to the editor: Thanks to those who cared for Angel

On Aug. 18, 2007, my daughter Angel English was in a car accident, which left her paralyzed from the chest down. Then in March of this year, Angel was diagnosed with leukemia. On Aug. 29, Angel lost her battle with cancer.
On her behalf and the family's, I'd like to thank all of the churches who remembered Angel in prayer; the Sunday School classes at Mount Hebron Wesleyan who sent her the prayer trees, and all the gifts they sent that meant so much to her.; Reverend Bruce Ward who visited and prayed with Angel; and the congregation at Harvest Time Baptist Church for their visits, gifts, prayers and support.
I'd also like to thank Dr. Paschell and the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for the care they gave Angel during her stays in the hospital. Also, the Hospice workers, EMTs, and the staff at The McDowell Hospital for their kindness and care. Thank you for special nurses Tracey, Becca and Lisa who went out of their way to make Angel and us as comfortable as possible during Angel's last hours.
Thank you to all my neighbors and friends who called or came by and for the words of comfort, food, gifts, cards and everything else during our time of loss. God bless each and every one of you. There are a lot of wonderful people here in McDowell County.
