Letter to the editor: Thanks for helping P.G. school

Parents and community supporters of Pleasant Gardens Elementary School, words cannot express how much I appreciate your support of the students, teachers and staff of Pleasant Gardens Elementary School.
By providing school supplies for our children, instructional supplies for teachers, incentives and "time," the most valuable resource an educator could have, you have made the beginning of this school year a success.
I have observed, almost daily, someone entering the school with supplies and snacks. Parents have given their time to create instructional manipulatives, assist in the classrooms, and organize the food pantry. Your generosity has been overwhelming.
As educators across our county try to implement new reading programs, math adoptions, science incentives, schedule changes, etc., your acts of kindness make these transitions a little easier. Most of all, they make the students' days a lot brighter.
I know I speak for educators across the county when I say, "thank you."
