»  Comments | Post a Comment

Police arrested a Marion man they say hit and bruised a young girl.

Investigative Sgt. Rusty Jenkins of the Marion Police Department charged Tyrone Frazier, 32, of Spring Street with one count of child abuse. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.

On Aug. 17, Frazier hit the 7-year-old girl with a belt and left bruises and marks on her, according to Jenkins.

School officials saw the marks on the child and contacted the Department of Social Services, who then notified police.
