Concert benefits victims of house fire

»  Comments | Post a Comment

During the cold snap earlier in January, Tim and Leeann Sigmon lost their home on Bethel Church Road to fire. The couple have been staying with Tim's mother since then, Leeann said.
They are still not certain what caused the blaze, she said. The home and all its contents were destroyed, leaving them with nothing but questions.
One thing the Sigmons still have is friends and neighbors who care about them -- friends like Chandra Collins. She is hosting a benefit show tonight to raise a few urgently needed dollars.
"They lost everything," said Collins. "I have arranged to have a benefit show at Ivan's Restaurant (tonight)."
The show will feature the popular band Contagious. One hundred percent of the $5 cover charge will go to the family, she stated. This money will help pay for a new home.
"We have found a singlewide trailer for them for a very good price, so that is our goal: to raise enough money to purchase, deliver and set up this family a home for the Glory of God," she said.
The show begins at 9 p.m.
