A Marion man faces multiple charges after authorities say he sexually assaulted an acquaintance and physically assaulted a child.

            Investigative Sgt. Rick Gutierrez of the Marion Police Department charged Fredy Magallan Arciga, 29, of Village Trail with second-degree rape, second-degree sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping, assault on a female and assault on a child under 12. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $256,000 bond.

            The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Tuesday, June 8.

            Gutierrez said Arciga hit and sexually assaulted the 25-year-old woman and pushed the 5-year-old girl.
