NC company recalls sandwiches because of Listeria
Starting this week, babies born in North Carolina are being screened for cystic fibrosis (CF) when their tiny blood samples are sent to the North Carolina State Laboratory of Public Health to test for possible metabolic and genetic disorders.
Three more North Carolinians – one each from Brunswick, Caldwell and Catawba counties – have tested positive for the same strain of Salmonella typhimurium that has sickened more than 400 people nationwide, bringing North Carolina's total to four cases, public health officials reported today.
